Please join ABCD on Tuesday, November 11th, from 12:00-1:00 pm for a virtual presentation on The Complexities of Accurately Diagnosing Mental Health Conditions in the IDD Population by Dr. Daniel Balboni.
Dr. Balboni will conduct a discussion related to the complications and common mistakes around accurately diagnosing and treating mental health conditions in individuals within the IDD population. This includes the risks of: misdiagnosis, underdiagnosis, overdiagnosis, medication management, overmedication, and diagnostic overshadowing; all of which are exacerbated in frequency and severity within this population due to lack of clear information and training.”
