Ombudsman Visits ABCD Board

The ABCD Board hosted an introductory meeting with Lisa Montalbano, Ombudsman for Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities and their Families.  The Ombudsperson introduced the board to her team, the goals of the office, the focus on data, what she has learned, what needs improvement and opportunities for collaboration.  ABCD told of its history and priorities, making clear that the data the Ombudsperson collects is important to us, because it can help inform our advocacy efforts to improve the system.  The Ombudsperson attended the entire board meeting and was able to begin to get to know some of our members.
