ABCD Announces New Board Vice President and Secretary

ABCD is pleased to announce the election of Michele DelCorsano, President and CEO of Our House as Vice President to the ABCD Board and Laura Walsh, Executive Director of Children’s Center Programs Adult Day Habilitation Program as Secretary to the ABCD Board. Michele will be completing the remaining term of Patti Carlesimo, Executive Director of the LADACIN Network, who recently retired while Laura will be completing the remaining term of Michele.

Michele and Laura have been members of the Board and committed champions of our organization for almost a decade. Their knowledge, experience, leadership, vision, and generosity have contributed vastly to the growth of ABCD.

Michele DelCorsano Elected Board Vice President

Michele DelCorsano, CEO: Michele joined Our House in 2005 after spending 5 years at Morgan Stanley.  Over her 20-year career at Our House, she has held a number of positions including Recruiter, HR Director, COO and CEO. Michele has been instrumental in leading the organization, which provides services to individuals with developmental and other disabilities. Under her leadership, Our House has expanded its programs and services, enhancing the quality of life for many individuals and their families. She sits on the ABCD Board of Trustees, as well as a number of other boards.  Michele holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Kean University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Susquehanna University. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, traveling, skiing, and rooting on the NY Mets.

Laura Walsh Elected Board Secretary

Laura Walsh has held the position of Executive Director over the last 10 years. During that time frame she was instrumental in the growth and development of one of the premier day habilitation programs in the state of New Jersey. She has been with the Children’s Center family since its inception, over 30 years ago as a Teacher of the Handicapped and Supervisor.  In addition, Laura developed the employee on-the-job, and continuous development training programs for all Teacher Assistants. Laura received her undergraduate degree from Trenton State College and her master’s degree in Administration, Supervision and Curriculum from Georgian Court College. Utilizing her extensive education and work experiences, Laura continues to provide outstanding leadership and program development for CCP’s day habilitation program.
