An Actionable Roadmap: Ideas for Reducing the NPA
The proposed third increase to the rate in two years after a decade and a half of deterioration, proves the resolve of the Murphy Administration to create a sustainable Early Intervention system. In addition to our providers’ efforts with these additional resources to increase the supply of licensed therapists, there may be additional actions that can be taken to decrease the No Practitioner Available wait list in Early Intervention (NPA). To this end, members of the EIPA hammered out a list of suggestions for DOH’s Division of Family Services to consider for statewide implementation. ABCD’s EIPA looks forward to working with the Commissioner and her leadership team to create an actionable roadmap for reducing the NPA to provide more services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities in order to minimize and prevent permanent disability.
