DHS Annual Budget Listening Session: Expand the Social Bargain
On November 29, 2023, ABCD joined with trade groups, agencies, and self-advocates focused on the issues and services impacting individuals with IDD to provide input on the FY’25 Budget during DHS’s annual budget listening session hosted by Commissioner Adelman and her staff. ABCD called for an across the board increase for DDD community providers, changes to and an increase in reimbursement for transportation to and from day habilitation, increase to the rates for habilitative therapies in day services, increase to housing rental subsidies, and for continued efforts to expand prevented services for mental illness.
