Jeff Kolakowski, CEO of the New Jersey Builders Association, joined the ABCD Board meeting to discuss how membership can work with builders to positively impact housing opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Jeff outlined some of the short-term opportunities taking place in addition to expanding networks and synergy for long-term goals. Matt Smierciack and Heather Tiernan of Mercadien joined the Day Program and DDA member guests to review what they look for in an activity log note evaluation. Day Program Committee members provided Matt and Heather with de-identified logs which were used as examples in the presentation to make clear what they believe are parameters for a “good note. ” More is not necessarily better; they understood that time writing a note is time away from the client.
