NJ HOSA – Future Health Professional Consultant and State Officer Coach meets with ABCD HR Forum
Shawnee Chaudhury, joined the January meeting of the HR Forum to present on the organization and how ABCD member agencies can work with the NJ HOSA network to help them in their mission by providing a conduit for externships, internships, volunteering, and employment. NJ HOSA has over 80 chapters with a total of over 4,500 members.
HOSA is a global student-led organization the mission of which is to empower secondary, postsecondary, middle school, adult, and collegiate students enrolled in health science education and biomedical science programs or have interests in pursuing careers in related professions to become leaders through education, collaboration, and experience. HOSA actively promotes career opportunities in the health (and human services) industry to enhance the delivery of quality care to all people. “HOSA is a viable solution to the health industry shortages.”
ABCD thanks Shawnee, a recent student graduate of HOSA, for her commitment to the organization and for volunteering her time to introduce us to HOSA. We look forward to working with HOSA to create learning, leadership, and service opportunities for their members a to enhance the delivery of quality care to individuals with IDD.
